  • Alencastre.net

    2001
    Alencastre.net was established in Portugal by Diniz Alencastre and Ricardo Alencastre as a digital agency that provides digital marketing and web development services.

  • Lisbon

    2007
    Alencastre.net opens an office in Lisbon. The objective is to expand its operations country-wide and become one of the leading digital agencies in Portugal.

  • Major clients

    2008  to 2009
    Alencastre.net closes deals with some of the major companies in Portugal. These included companies such as Delta Cafés, EDP, Sonae, and CPLP, among others.

  • Europe

    2010
    Alencastre.net creates a small business unit that provides web and mobile development services to other European-based marketing and digital marketing agencies.

  • Share IT

    2011
    Share IT was established as a spin-off of Alencastre.net. This new company becomes responsible for all software development services, while Alencastre.net continues to focus on providing digital marketing services.

  • Portugal

    2012
    Share IT opens a competency centre in Portugal to support the demand for its software development services.

  • North America

    2013
    Share IT gets the first software development clients in North America.

  • Brandability

    2018
    Brandability was established as a full-service agency. This agency is born from a partnership between Alencastre.net and Neutro, a small full-service boutique agency in Lisbon.

  • Toronto

    2019
    Share IT opens its North American head office in Toronto, Canada to support the existing clients and the company's expansion in this important market.

  • Romania

    2022
    Share IT opens a competency centre in Romania. The purpose was to expand the software development talent pool and be able to support clients across multiple time zones.

  • Rebrand

    2022
    We decided to reorganise our legal structure and unify our companies under the name and brand “Share IT”, with Brandability being the sole exception

  • Dublin

    2022
    With the legal reorganization and rebranding completed, our European head office is relocated to Dublin.
